Southern Cross--- never saw it before-
The Pointers- alpha centauri and another star point to the southern
cross. Alpha Centuari is the brightest star in the sky because it is
the star (next to the sun) that is closest to the earth.

Here is something I missed….from the story of the woman at the
well….Jesus is tired from His journey. While the disciples go to
get food, the Lord sat down near a well. When a woman came to get water,
He asked her for a drink.
Jesus often asks us to serve Him. Often it is to do something so simple,
that we can ignore His request
But if we don't, we will miss out on the gift that God has for us and
we will miss out on the living water
Not every one can be out front like Lynette or Moses. For every Lynette
there were thousands who
mop a floor-,
mark a Bible
cook a lunch-
fetch a pail of water
Everything is connected to a soul
Every soul is connected to an eternal decision….
This is not new- in Moses day the Levites carried the most holy things
ahead of the entire camp
The camp never moved until the Levites moved….the church never
moves until we move and serve and point to Jesus
Remember the pointer stars-every thing we do points to the cross,…every
act of service points to the empty tomb and the power of the Love of
God…everything we do points to Jesus.
" This morning, I looked for the Southern Cross.
" Because the moon was so bright, I could only see 1 pointer and
2 stars of the constellation
o I knew the Southern Cross was there
o Even the pointer, who wasn't the brightest star in the sky was there
pointing to the cross…..even though I couldn't see it and didn't
know its name, it was there.
o 2 Cor 5:7 for we walk by faith, not by sight.
Jesus calls us to do small tasks. When we follow Him by faith, we receive
the living water and doing everything for His glory, we point to Him.
